Eid at Katara

Eid Al Adha is a solemn fest celebrated by muslims around the world. This is my second time celebrating this kind of activity here in Qatar but my first time to actually go out with some friends and witness how the celebration goes. Aside from the prayers we hear from the Mosques, they also have this three days fireworks display happening at some points of the gulf.

I always enjoy watching Arabs come and go, chatting with each other. I know few Arabic words but not enough to understand a full sentence. It makes me feel like i'm in another planet, a stranger, a kid far from home. So most of the times, i tend to close my eyes and just listen to what they are saying. Through this i am able to feel like I belong. Their body movements, the ambiance of the weather may it be cold or warm, the busy streets and beeping cars, the smell of Chai Karak, one the most popular beverage in Middle East . Those things speaks to me and guide me when there is harm or simply friendship. The universal language of having no language at all but pure heart, mind and soul. It makes me feel home.

I am always thankful for the people who came into my life and shared a piece of their souls to fill mine. I am always thankful for every moment of this dream completing my every inch of reality, for every tea and for every thing God gave me that makes it possible for me to view the world from above like a real firework.
